COUNTING OUR BLESSINGS

It’s those times we go without that give us capacity to fully appreciate what we have.  The joy of food is greatly enhanced when we have missed a meal.  A moment of health is fully enjoyed when we have endured a long sickness.  And we certainly adore those first sunny days after a long winter.
It’s hard to count your blessings when you have always had them.  The angels were created in perfect environment receiving blessing after blessing from God.  They did not know suffering, pain or death. Instead of being grateful, a third of the angels became resentful and rebelled
(For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Isa. 14:13-14,
Rev 12:4: "And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born."
We can see this same pattern repeated in humanity.  History shows that a generation born into prosperity usually becomes an ungrateful generation with entitlement issues.
Appreciation often comes when we are deprived of something – ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’.  Ironically, it is through adversity that capacity for joy is built.
God is not the author of suffering and never intended it for angels or humanity; however, He allows the repercussions of free will to take its course (both individual and collectively), so we can build a frame of reference to appreciate His unrestrained blessings in Eternity.
For those who accept God’s free offer of salvation (through Christ), there will be no more adversity after death.  God can rain his blessings on us as He originally intended; and due to life’s lessons we will have capacity to enjoy them.  With our understanding of pain, loneliness, heartache and death, we will have an everlasting frame of reference to appreciate, health, love, joy and eternal life.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.  There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4

FORCED LOVE

Love cannot be forced: it must be freely given – we fool ourselves if we think otherwise.  We may want someone to love us, but we cannot win that person’s love by force.  Even if we demanded love at the point of a sword, people might go through the motions of showing it, but only out of fear.  In their hearts they would despise us.
When nations have forced their religious views on others (the Crusades, the Inquisition, etc), it has always ended in disaster.  These unfortunate episodes have blighted Christianity, creating international distrust which has lasted for centuries.
The ‘Cause of Christianity’ will never be won at the ‘point of a sword’.  We should remember this when making national policies, work policies, school policies and family policies.
The goal should always be to see people receive salvation and come to love the Lord, but if we think we will achieve this noble aim through legal action, bullying or harassment, we fool ourselves.
Christ has shown us the way by living the example.  People flocked to him seeking forgiveness, compassion, grace and love - He never forced himself on anyone.  When we start living our ideals instead of forcing them on others, people may stop fleeing from Christianity – and run towards it.
"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things." - (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)
John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
1Jn 3:16: "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren."
God have given us unmerited, unsolicited, and unconditional love through his only begotten Son as a sacrifice... So let us show love to our brothers and sisters!
1Jn 4:16,18,20: "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
… There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
… If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?"
God bless you! Wishing you a love-full week...

MY WIFE, WHO HURT YOU IN YOUR PAST?

He had a deadline to beat. So he came home late when his family was asleep. He went into the kitchen, warmed up his dinner that the wife had cooked. Matoke with beef stew. In a few minutes he was done and went to sleep, exhausted.

In the morning, him and his wife got up. After the shower, wearing robes, it was time to prepare for the day.

"You think I am your house help? What is this? How many times must I tell you to never leave utensils unwashed? I wake up to an unwashed plate in the kitchen sink. Can't you even wash after yourself? Must I always clean up after you? Are you a baby? And you used my favourite plate that I keep for visitors, can't you even use the many other plates I bought? Agrrrr you've ruined my morning. I am so sick of being married to a man who can't even follow simple instructions" his wife shouted at him.

"What is this all about?" He asked looking at her surprised.

"What is this all about?" She ridiculed him. "Stop acting like you don't know. This is about the mess you left in the kitchen last night"

"Is this really about the dishes? Are you seriously talking to your husband like this because of a plate?" He asked shocked.

Their six year old child walked in on them in the kitchen.

His wife looked at the child then sneered at him and said, "We're getting late. The kids are getting late for school"

He gently grabbed her hand to lead her to the bedroom.

"My love, we need to talk" he told her.

"We don't have time! You have a deadline, I have an early morning meeting at work. The kids need to get to work. Stop rushing me" she reluctantly said.

"Kids, prepare for school. Mommy and I will have a chat, join you, have breakfast then we'll leave" he told their three children.

"But dad we'll get late for school" said their first born.

"You've never been late. But today, there will be no harm getting to school slightly late. Don't worry, I will personally talk to your teachers" he said.

"Woop woop! You are the coolest dad" cheered their naughty second born jumping on to the sofa turning on the TV.

The couple walked inside their bedroom. Closed the door.

He got her to sit on their bed and he knelt next to her, placing his hand on her lap.

"We're getting late" she said with a cold tone.

He rubbed her waist and said, "Shh, it doesn't matter, this is important. I don't want us to get caught up living life that we fail to address issues"

"So there is an issue?" She asked.

"Yes, my dirty plate on the sink" he said.

"Don't worry, I will wash it" she said trying to get up out of the bed.

He pressed her down to make her remain seated.

He looked deep into her eyes as if searching for her soul. She felt naked before him.

"My wife, who hurt you in your past?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" She questioned.

"For the years I have married you, I notice you are easily irritable, you have this temper, this bitterness, this fear that erupts out of petty things" he spoke.

"Oh, so you're saying I am petty? You think my reaction over what you did last night is petty? You think I am petty?" She erupted, sneering at him.

"See what I mean?" He said.

Silence.

"I am not saying you are petty, I am saying you are easily angered. I am saying that your response to my dirty plate was cold and harsh, all you could have done is correct me with love, but instead, you attacked me, you crushed me over a dirty plate, you fought me over a thing. Why are you this angry?" He continued.

Silence.

"No one is born angry and irritable. Anger, a hot temper is something we acquire as we live. It is our reaction to the circumstances that push us to fear, defensiveness and confusion. We acquire an angry temperament from our upbringing and the pain we collect along the way. So I want you to look inside you, your past and tell me, when did you start being so angry?"

Silence.

"My love, open up to me. Let me in to the darkest corners of your past. Show me your scars. Who did this to you? Who introduced you to bitterness? When you open up, you release the pain and healing will start; but when you hide, when you pretend, when you act like you are OK, when you wear a fake smile; healing will evade you and you will take it out on your loved ones. You will find yourself shouting at me and the kids, taking out your frustration on us"

Silence.

"Racism, fear, tribalism, fear, anger; all those are taught. All of us are born in the image of God and then the darkness of life creeps in through events and we become fearful and angry. Who did this to you? Who taught you how to be angry? Who made you feel like you have to fight alone, like no one is on your side?"

She began to cry.

She broke down in tears.

He hugged her. She broke down even more.

"I was raped. I was raped by my cousins. I was just a young girl" she opened up.

She let him inside her darkest thoughts. Told him of how she was raped, her abortion when she was seventeen that she did because she couldn't face her parents, her questions about her father who was largely absent when she needed a father figure, how she was sexually harassed at work by her boss and no one believed her. She opened up about her fake friends, who were there only to use her until the day she chose to ride solo. She opened up about how she gave her body to a man who claimed to love her, only for the man to end up cheating on her and making her feel unworthy and not beautiful enough. She opened up about her struggle with self esteem, the nights she cried to sleep. She opened up about how she made mistakes that ended up costing her time, money and peace of mind, her struggle with porn and alcohol while she tried to project an image of a Godly woman yet she felt God was angry with her. She opened up about the nights she'd wake up naked in bed with a man she didn't love and how that made her angry with herself. She opened up about the five relationships she got into thinking they would last. The first one she was used, the second one she was physically abused, the third she was rejected because the man's parents didn't approve of her tribe, the fourth she was cheated on, the fifth she was dumped the night before her wedding. She opened up about all her baggage"

He listened.

He wiped her tears.

"My love, that is alot for one person to go through. Thank you for opening up to me. It will help me to love you better. When you open up, you release the burden. I now know better about where you are coming from" he told her.

"I have never told a soul all these things" she said clinging on to him.

"If you don't tell me, who will you tell? Darling, this is what love is about. Taking your past, walking with you today and building with you our tomorrow. Many people think marriage changes things but actually marriage reveals things. In marriage that is when issues become unearthed. People use marriage as a cover up thinking it is a magic wand that will change lives. But when marriage is done in honesty, marriage become a place of healing because where there is love there is healing. With the help of God, my love will silence your fear, my love will redeem back your view of sex, my love will tell you the men you were with before me were wrong. I will show you that you are a Queen deserving of the best of love. Love will heal you. Instead of taking things out on me, let me be love to you. My love, stop fighting alone, stop fighting your inner wars alone. That was then, this is now. You have me. You are married to a man who has your best interest at heart. No more fear, no more anger. OK?" said he.

She looked at his eyes and said, "I love you. I cannot believe after all the pain I went through, finally God brought me something good and I allow the hangover of my past to make me live with anger in my present"

He kissed her and said, "Healing takes time but it will happen. It happens when you stop covering up your pain but become intentional about it"

"I love you. I love you so much" she said.

"I love you too. We are in this together" he told her.

"Kiss me" she requested.

They kissed. The healing kiss.

They prayed. The healing prayer.

He then helped her to dress up and she helped him to dress up. They exchanged some laughs, joined their children, had breakfast as a family and drove to school and their respective places of work playing some cheerful music in the car and having family fun.

Did you get married without addressing the issues you went through in the past?

Are you an angry person?

Don't take your anger in to your marriage, it will tarnish the relationship between you and your spouse and your children.

May you heal from all the damage you went through along your path.

May your marriage be a place of healing.

You are blessed in Jesus name!

And you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and burn their wooden images with fire; you shall cut down the carved images of their gods and destroy their names from that place.  (2-3) (Exo 34:13, Deu 7:5,  Deu 7:25)

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE CROSS SERIES I

CHRISTIAN SALVATION
We will all eventually DIE, one day.  If the Bible is correct, there is an afterlife with judgement, heaven and hell.  What is our plan to reach heaven?

Many say: ‘Well, I’m a relatively good person – when I die I’ll just hope for the best.  Others add: ‘I’ve been baptised, had communion, plus I give regularly to the church and charities – I think I’ve ticked all the boxes.’

It’s ironic that many people, including many Christians, think getting to heaven depends on what they do.  When asked about the relevance of Jesus Christ and the Cross, most scratch their heads; they don’t see a connection between their going to heaven and what Christ did on the Cross. Many people consider the cross simply a symbol of Christianity – a story told at Easter how a good man was wrongly crucified and miraculously rose from the dead.

Fact is, if we could earn our way to heaven by good deeds or religious rituals, Christ died needlessly on the Cross.  If we could save ourselves by our works, there would be no point for Jesus to die for our salvation (John 3:16).

The Bible states: we can never be good enough to save ourselves (Eph. 2:8-9) – our works are filthy rags in God’s sight (Isaiah 64:6) – that we need to be born-again (John 3:3) – and become a new creation in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17).

To enter the kingdom of heaven we need to have God’s perfect righteousness.  This is the whole point of Jesus being crucified on our behalf.

If we accept the gift of salvation by believing in Christ we receive His perfect righteousness and are instantly adopted into the family of God.

Alternately, if we are hoping our good deeds or religious rituals will save us; sadly, we are in for a very rude shock.
We need the Cross.  Christ is our salvation – He is the only door and way into heaven.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is a gift of God not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9..

LET IT GO

Below is a message that I received from a friend. It was a transcription of a live service held by Bishop T. D. Jakes:
There are people who can walk away from you. And hear me when I tell you this! When people can walk away from you, let them walk. I don’t want you to try to talk another person into staying with you, loving you, calling you, caring about you, coming to see you, staying attached to you. I mean hang up the phone. When people can walk away from you, let them walk. Your destiny is never tied to anybody that left.

The bible said that, "they came out from us that it might be made manifest that they were not for us. For had they been of us, no doubt they would have continued with us." (John 2:19)

People leave you because they are not joined to you. And if they are not joined to you, you can’t make them stay. Let them go. And it doesn’t mean that they are a bad person - it just means that their part in your story is over. And you’ve got to know when people’s part in your story is over so that you don’t keep trying to raise the dead. You’ve got to know when it’s dead. You’ve got to know when it’s over.

Let me tell you something. I’ve got the gift of good-bye. It’s the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye. It’s not that I’m hateful, it’s that I’m faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He’ll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat I don’t need it. Stop begging people to stay. LET THEM GO!!

If you are holding on to something that doesn’t belong to you and was never intended for your life, then you need to
… LET IT GO!

If you are holding on to past hurts and pains … LET IT GO!

If someone can’t treat you right, love you back, and see your worth ... LET IT GO!

If someone has angered you … LET IT GO!

If you are holding on to some thoughts of evil and revenge
… LET IT GO!

If you are involved in a wrong relationship or addiction
… LET IT GO!

If you are holding onto a job that no longer meets your needs or talents … LET IT GO!

If you have a bad attitude … LET IT GO!

If you keep judging others to make yourself feel better
… LET IT GO!

If you’re stuck in the past and God is trying to take you to a new level in Him … LET IT GO!

If you are struggling with the healing of a broken relationship … LET IT GO!

If you keep trying to help someone who won’t even try to help themselves … LET IT GO!

If you’re feeling depressed and stressed … LET IT GO!

If there is a particular situation that you are so used to handling yourself and God is saying “take your hands off of it,” then you need to ... LET IT GO!

Let the past be the past. Forget the former things. GOD is doing a new thing for the new year! LET IT GO!

Get Right or Get Left … think about it, and then … LET IT GO!
“The Battle is the Lord’s!”

During the next 60 seconds, Stop whatever you are doing, and take this opportunity. (Literally it is only One minute!) All you have to do is the following: You simply say “The Lord's Prayer” for the person that sent you this message. The Lord's Prayer:
Our Father, who are in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from
evil. For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, forever and ever. Amen.

Next, send this message to everyone you know. In a while, more people will have prayed for you and you would have obtained a lot of people praying for others! Next, stop and think and appreciate God’s power in your life, for doing what you know is pleasing to Him. If you are not ashamed to do this, follow the instructions!

God loves you and watches over you every day!

MY RESPONSE TO ‘LET IT GO’  - By Sunny Orly Coffmann that shared the T.D. Jakes article about releasing people. I'd love to write a further clarification to this article. There are lots of reasons for "letting go." Eccel. is real plain about there being a season for everything.
And we've all read the one about people being sent for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Just because it may be "letting go" time, does not mean the person has to be an enemy - but simply that, their role in our lives or vise versa, may have now been accomplished. Many times our not wanting to "let go" comes as a result of our own insecurity or the abandonment or rejection that we have experienced.

From another angle, I've also seen folks dying - kept in this sphere - many times because folks around them simply would not "let go." On many occasions, we've counseled family members or close friends to lovingly release the dying. Dying is just another part of living and a necessary part of progression in the Spirit. It is a major factor in teaching more about prayer - not praying emotionally led prayers - but praying the will of God in each situation.

And, yes, there are instances where another is used in a very negative way in our lives, but I'm getting more and more understanding of these kinds of things - coming to the total belief that all things are allowed by Our Father for a reason - and whatever the challenge, it is part of our own perfecting - giving us opportunity to overcome yet another obstacle in our own life - usually in our own emotional realm.

God bless you as take this important decision in your life.

THE FORGOTTEN PORTION IN THE HOUSE OF GOD.

© Rev Timothy Oluwajoba

"And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them, so that the Levites and the singers who did the work [forced by necessity] had each fled to his field.  Dt 12:19

Then I contended with the officials and said, Why is the house of God neglected and forsaken? I gathered the Levites and singers and set them in their stations. Then all Judah brought the tithe of the grain, the new wine, and the oil to the storerooms.  Mal 3:10

I set treasurers over the storerooms: Shelemiah the priest, Zadok the scribe, and Pedaiah of the Levites; assisting them was Hanan son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah, for they were counted faithful, and their task was to distribute to their brethren.

O my God, [earnestly] remember me concerning this and wipe not out my good deeds and kindnesses done for the house of my God and for His service.  Neh 5:19  Neh 13:22  Neh 13:31" (Neh 13:10-14)

"Take heed not to forsake or neglect the Levite [God’s minister] as long as you live in your land.  Dt 14:27  Neh 13:10" (Dt 12:19).

BECAUSE THE PORTION OF GOD IS DENIED

"Will a man rob or defraud God? Yet you rob and defraud Me. But you say, In what way do we rob or defraud You? [You have withheld your] tithes and offerings. You are cursed with the curse, for you are robbing Me, even this whole nation." (Mal 3:8-9)

WHY MUST YOU REMEMBER GOD'S PORTION?
"Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.  Lv 27:30  Nm 18:21-24  Dt 12:6  Dt 14:22-29  Neh 13:12" (Mal 3:10)

BENEFITS OF BRING GOD'S PORTION TO HIS HOUSE
"And I will rebuke the devourer [insects and plagues] for your sakes and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground, neither shall your vine drop its fruit before the time in the field, says the Lord of hosts. And all nations shall call you happy and blessed, for you shall be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts." (Mal 3:11-12), Ps 91:1-16

1. You and your family are protected from sicknesses and strange deceases.
2. Your businesses are preserved from economic hardship.
3. You shall be fruitful in whatever your hand finds doing.
4. Longitivity of life shall be your portion and your household. Ps 91:16
5. You are favoured and blessed among others.
6. You shall continually be the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath.
7. You and your household are God's delightsome.

"Let him who receives instruction in the Word [of God] share all good things with his teacher [contributing to his support]." (Gl 6:6).

"Do not think that I have come to do away with or undo the Law or the Prophets; I have come not to do away with or undo but to complete and fulfill them.

For truly I tell you, until the sky and earth pass away and perish, not one smallest letter nor one little hook [identifying certain Hebrew letters] will pass from the Law until all things [it foreshadows] are accomplished.  Lk 16:17" (Mt 5:17-18)

Locate a servant of God, that God have used to minister to since begin of the year and bless him this season. Put a smile to the faces of his entire family. And see how God will bless you in return.

THE ULTIMATE POWER

High Voltage Electrocution
We all enjoy the benefits of electricity; it lights our world and powers our houses and devices.  Though we depend on electricity, we learn from an early age that high voltage can kill.  If you touch an exposed live wire, you will be zapped – it makes no difference whether you are a boy or girl, young or old, good or bad.

God is the Ultimate Power – He is the Energiser behind all other power sources – He created and upholds the universe and all the laws of science and nature.  We enjoy the benefits of God’s power daily, but while we live on earth God gracefully insulates us from His potent essence.

Though God is infinite, people often ascribe human characteristics to Him and then condemn Him on that basis.  They say things like: ‘If God is good and loving, how can He sentence people to Hell for not accepting Him?’  We must remember our infinite God is beyond our understanding; to judge Him on human standards would be wrong.

When we die, we come face to face with God and the Bible states, His perfection is not compatible with sin or human righteousness.  If we are not ‘fully insulated’ when we come face to face with Him, God’s essence must cast us from His presence.
We may say, ‘Well, I don’t want to be in God’s presence if He is like that!’  But remember, Hell, for lack of a better word, is the very place where God’s comfort and provisions are not present.
God is as He is – He cannot compromise or change or He would cease to be the Binding Energy of the universe.  Like electricity, if we want the benefits we must acknowledge the dangers.  The Bible warns us, from Old to New Testament, if we are not ‘fully insulated’ in His presence, we will be judged and condemned.  We may meekly say, ‘But I’m a relatively good person’; however, that is like being relatively insulated when we touch a high voltage electrical wire.

God wants us all to enjoy the benefits of His infinite power for eternity.  Yet the Bible clearly says, we are all sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).  To insulate ourselves from being cast out of His presence, God (through Jesus Christ) died on the cross to pay for our transgressions.  (Philippians 2:5-8)

The choice is up to us; we either accept or reject the work done by Jesus Christ on our behalf.  Only by accepting Him as Saviour are we ‘fully insulated’ when come into personal contact with the Ultimate Power of the universe.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 6:23

HE LOVES OUR COMPANY

Often, the reason we don’t have excellent relationships in life is because we have taken our loved ones for granted in pursuit of other things.  We have forgotten what is important.

A good ambition for life is to spend as much time as possible in the company of loved ones.  We understand this when we first fall in love, or when we have a baby, yet as time passes we often take them for granted – then subtlety, the things of the world intrude.  Bit by bit, we become far too busy pursuing personal ambitions than desiring to be in the company of the ones we love most.

Regarding God, if we say we love Him, we should naturally desire to spend as much time in His company as possible.  This does not mean we hang around a church 24/7.  God is omnipresent (everywhere simultaneously), so wherever we go – there He is.  We can include God in everything we think and do.  When we are excited about the wonder of life – we can praise Him.  When we are sad or worried – we can confide in Him.  When we are stressed or fearful – we can confidently hand our problems to Him.

As we get to know God, our prayer life should lose its religious-ritual and become a long conversation with a Loved One that never ends.  This is the relationship our Heavenly Father wants with us.

If we keep God as our first love, it results in a better relationship with self, family, and friends. We will start seeing people through God’s eyes.  We will have peace; we will be more caring, tolerant and interested in others.  Then, when we spend more time with loved ones (exhibiting Christ-like virtues), we will quickly find they will want to spend a lot more time in our loving company.

Ps 91:14-15: "(God says) I will make the person safe that loves me. Danger will not hurt him that knows (and trusts in) my name. He will pray to me and I will answer him. When he has trouble, I will be with him. I will save him and make him famous.

Phil 4:6-7: "Do not be afraid about anything. Do not let anything cause you trouble inside yourselves. Instead, tell everything to God. Pray to him. Ask him for everything that you need. And when you pray, always thank him. If you do that, God will rule you. He will rule your minds by Christ Jesus. He will rule what you feel like. He will cause you to be without trouble inside yourselves. God is so great that he can do that for us. But we cannot understand how he does it."

HUSBANDS FOR SALE!

A store that sells husbands has just opened , where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates. You may visit the store ONLY ONCE!

There are six floors and the attributes of the men increase as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch .. You may choose any man from a particular floor, or you may choose to go up a floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building! So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband .

On the first floor the sign on the door reads:

Floor 1 - These men have jobs and love the Lord.

The second floor sign reads:

Floor 2 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, and love kids.

The third floor sign reads:

Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, and are extremely good looking.

"Wow," she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.

She goes to the fourth floor and sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are good looking and help with the housework.

"Oh, mercy me!" she exclaims, "I can hardly stand it!" Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are gorgeous, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak.

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 4,363,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please.*

Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store. Watch your step as you exit the building, and have a nice day!

Jam 1:5-8: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways."

Please send this to all men for a good laugh and to all the women who can handle the truth!

WRITING LOVE LETTERS

A man, filled with romantic notions, decided to write a love letter to his wife.  He became so caught up in writing on how unbearable life would be without her that he didn’t notice she had arrived home.  While he continued to write page after page, listing how he was his wife’s undying servant, she cleaned the house, did the washing and cooked in the kitchen.  So involved was he in composing poetic words of his wife’s incomparable beauty, he didn’t notice she had dressed-up and changed her hair.  When she invited him to walk in the park and watch the sunset, her husband declined; he was far too busy writing about how he loved to spend every minute in her wonderful company.

On her return, he eagerly presented her with the passionate love letter.  His wife read it, gave a half smile and politely thanked him.  Her husband was disappointed.  He expected her to respond with romantic joy.  Baffled, he asked: ‘Doesn’t my letter please you?  Haven’t I written every loving thing a woman likes to hear?’

‘Yes, it’s lovely, darling,’ she replied quietly.  ‘I do appreciate your thoughts, but I would rather see your love than read about it.’

We sing songs to God with many ‘Halleluiahs’ and ‘Praise the Lords’.  We give offerings and tell God how wonderful and glorious He is.  We rightly recognize how awful our lives would be without Him.  But are we just ‘writing love-letters’, or is our life a living-love-letter to God?

Jesus said, “But why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say.” Luke 6:46

Blessed day to you my beloved, I want to share this message with you as someone did this morning through my WhatsApp messenger! Hope you will be blessed too!

To make a difference in someone's life, we don't have to be brilliant, rich, beautiful or perfect. We just have to commit ourselves to it. We will never know happiness until we come to the realization that life is not a competition. Some will go ahead of us, others  will come after us; we will overtake some and others will overtake us; eventually when the time is right, we will get to where we are supposed to be. After all it's only our shadow that was created to walk next to us all the days of our life.

Let us live well today for we deserve it. Give time and energy to all that  we love, simply because we love them all. We have to put enormous effort into getting to where we are. So, let us enjoy where we are. Bring the very best ones to life.

Live well today, whatever we find ourselves doing. With an attitude of sincere gratitude, any task, any situation will be a source of richness. Let us be compassionate to ourselves and to others.

Enjoy the great sense of satisfaction that comes from our inner being. Remember how good life can be by putting the goodness in every moment. AMEN

THE GOSPEL

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish - but have everlasting life!" Joh 3:16

This verse is a little Bible in itself - for it contains the whole gospel.

It shows us the source of man's redemption - God's love.

It shows us the measure of this divine love - God gave His only begotten Son.

It shows us how the redemption was accomplished - by the sacrifice of Christ.

It tells us how to be saved - by believing on the Son of God.

It tells us who will be saved - whoever believes on Christ.

It shows us what the salvation is - deliverance from perishing, and the gift of eternal life.

Any one who truly believes that God loves him - is saved; the consciousness of this blessed truth is life in the soul. A story is told of a child in Luther's time, who thought of God only with dread, as of a terrible Judge! In her stern home, God had been held before her only in this way - to terrify her. She had never heard a word about God's gentleness or affection. But one day in her father's printing office, she picked up a scrap of paper and found on it just the first part of this verse, "For God so loved the world - that He gave" the remaining words were torn off - but even this mere fragment was a revelation to her.

God loved - "loved the world", loved it well enough to give something. Exactly what He gave - she did not know - but it was enough for her to know that God loved at all, and that He loved the world enough to give anything to it. The new thought changed all her conception of God. She learned from this time, to think of Him as one who loved her - and this thought brought sweet comfort to her.

But we have the whole verse - and we know that God is love. We know just what His love gave - the most costly and most valuable gift in all the universe! This revelation should fill us with unutterable joy!

1Jn 4:7-12,14,19,21: "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. … And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. … We love him, because he first loved us. … And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also."

Blessed day to you and may you continue to walk in the true love of God  throughout this month in Jesus Christ mighty name! Amen!

GREATNESS IN MINISTRY DEPENDS ON YOUR INTERCESSORY ABILITIES...

I have never seen a Great Man of God, who is not a Man of Prayers.

The Cycle is like this:

"Man of Prayers" - - > "Man of Faith" - - > "Great Man of God"

Isa 53:12: "Therefore I will give him a portion among the GREAT. He will divide the spoils with the STRONG. This is because he poured out his life unto death. He was numbered with the transgressors. He bore the sin of many, and made INTERCESSION for the transgressors."

DO YOU WANT TO BE NUMBERED WITH THE GREAT AND STRONG IN GOD'S ARMY?

MOVE AWAY FROM DEBATES, ARGUMENTS, AND ENDLESS DISCUSSIONS.

GOD OF JUDGMENT AND APPEAL FOR REPENTANCE

Zeph 1:14-18;  "The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land."

Isa 1:11-15: "To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood."

GOD OF APPEAL

Isa 1:16-17: "Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow."

Zeph 2:1-3: "Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired; Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD's anger come upon you.

Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger."

GOD OF LOGICAL REASONING

Isa 1:18: "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

Mat 3:2,8: "And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. … Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:"

Acts 3:19: "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;"

Isa 1:19-20: "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it."

Rev 2:5: "Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent."

Rom 10:8-10: "But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Neh 1:2-4: "That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire. And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,"

KNOW YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE - Series III

UNDERSTANDING THE MYSTERY OF PURPOSE

The last time we discussed about this topic, we looked at "What is Your Purpose in Life?" We also tried to define "Purpose". It was explained that the purpose of thing or product is to solve a problem. The purpose of a vehicle is to solve the problem of distant travel. In those days, when travelling a 200 kilometres distance, takes several hours, sometimes days. It depends on how fast you can walk. A vehicle takes an hour or less. The purpose of a pair of shoe you wear, is to bring comfort and protection to your legs when you are walking especially in a hot or cold weather and dangerous grounds..

Today, we shall discuss the details of Purpose, that is "Understanding the Mystery Behind Purpose".

A careful look at the life of Adam and other great biblical characters acknowledge the following points...

1. Purpose Precedes The Carrier of That Thing.

What caused the creation of Adam had been in existence before Adam existed. For example, the garden to be tended and kept, including the vegetation and animals, were in existence before he was created.

God had not allow rain to fall because there was no man to till the ground.

In Gen 2:5: "And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and THERE WAS NOT A MAN TO TILL THE GROUND."

From the above statement, we see that, there was a problem of A Cultivator. You will agree with me that if God had caused the rain to fall, the garden would have overgrown.

Other examples, the earth had been CORRUPTED before NOAH was BORN .

There is a need to raise a peculiar nation through which the Saviour will come preceded the coming of Abraham.

The need for a child to give laughter to an aged parent was in existence before Isaac was born to solve the problem of barrenness.

God raised Esther and Samson as saviours for an existing problem of slavery and oppression on the Israelites.

Joseph was born for the purpose of preserving life in Egypt and the children of Israel.

God had arranged, wired and sent Our Lord Jesus Christ to solve the error that the first Adam had committed, the sin of the world and the consequences.

John 1:29: "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."

Col 2:14-15: "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."

I will stop here today to continue next time but the question I would like to leave with you today is, "Have you located a problem?" Perhaps you are thinking that,  you are not good enough to handle that problem. Moses saw the the problem of Israelites, he felt in capable of solving it, until he located his purpose by running to God Ex 3:9-22. There was a problem of broken walls in Jerusalem for years, Nehemiah was raised to solve it.

I want to challenge you today, until you locate your purpose of existence and the problem you have been wired to solve, you are useless to God and to humanity.

Go to God in prayers ask Him to show you the purpose you are CREATED to SOLVE.

I pray for you that your eyes of understanding be opened to know the reason you are alive, in Jesus name.

I am fulfilling my purpose, that's why you are reading this write-up, written for you.

Till I come your way again...

LIFE IS A TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT..

KNOW YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE - Series I

WHAT IS PURPOSE?
  1. Purpose is the reason for existence, the use of a thing or a product is intended for.
  2. The goal or intended outcome of something i.e. the desired effect something is meant to achieve.
  3. The problem you are born to solve.
  4. The needs you are created, wired, equipped and fashioned to meet.
  5. All things in life have a design, design is determined by purpose, purpose is birthed by needs and needs are real and universal.

God will not do a thing without a purpose. There is a purpose for your existence. Life did not begin at conception but at creation.

Jer 1:55: "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee,  and  I ordained thee a PROPHET UNTO THE NATIONS.

DO YOU KNOW WHY YOU ARE CREATED?
WHAT PROBLEM ARE YOU CREATED TO SOLVE?
ARE YOU WORKING/WALKING IN THE PURPOSE IN WHICH YOU HAVE BEEN CREATED?

Roms 8:28  "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to  his PURPOSE."

Prov 19:21 "There are  many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand."

Every irregularity you see around you is birthed by purposelessness because when purpose is not known, abuse becomes the order of the day!

Have a purposeful day...

THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN AN APOSTOLIC CHRISTIAN AND THE APOSTATE CHRISTIAN.

An Apostolic Christian have a Godly lifestyle while the Apostate Christian lifestyle is worldly in nature. The Apostolic Christian is Holy Spirit centered, the flesh being put in check while the Apostate Christian is an expression of worldliness, while the Holy Spirit does not have expression in him.

We are now experiencing change of values in these last days, from Holy Spirit inspired life to liberalization flesh controlled character. Christians are not willing to hear truthful teaching. We are not able to sit for an hour in the church without looking at the watch. While in the church service you see some whatsapping, Facebooking, Instagramming our e-friends or imaginary friends. When you asked what was the message of the day, they have a blank mind.

We are doing all this in the gospel of modernisation. We have forgotten that, Satan is still the old dragon, he has never change his nature. And we have also forgotten that our creator, is still the ancient of days, He is the begin and end, the one that changeth not. Dan 7:9: "I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire."

Jesus said, if I come would I still meet faith? We are already removing the ancient landmarks that the heroes of faith have labored plant with their blood. Prov 22:28: "Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set." The Church is no longer teaching doctrine of sacrifice, suffering and losing. Our Bible study life is non existence. Our prayer life is weak. People don't go to church again but now prefer watching the television or live programme from the phone.

Jer 18:15: "Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up;"

Finally, Our Lord Jesus Christ predicted concerning the coming of Apostate Christian and church, when He spoke against the Laodicean Church. Listen to His charges against her and his appeal for a change of attitude.

Rev 3:14-22: "And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches."

HURRAH! CHRISTMAS IS HERE AGAIN!!

As Christmas rapidly approaches, giving thanks to the Almighty God, who has preserved us till another season of feasting and exchange of gifts and well wishes. When we think of Christmas, our minds are quickly turned to buying of hampers as gifts to our customers and loved ones. We also accept them with happiness and appreciation. It’s a good time to remember the greatest gift we will ever receive – but have we accepted it?

A gift is usually something ‘paid for’ by another and given free of charge – no strings attached.  We do not earn or deserve a gift, otherwise it would be a payment or a reward.  However, when a gift is given, it only becomes ours when we freely accept it.

God gave us the greatest of all gifts.  He humbled Himself and became a man (Jesus Christ) and willingly went to the cross to pay the penalty for the sins of the world so anyone who chooses may have everlasting life instead of judgement.

All that is left to receive everlasting-life is for us to simply accept it as a gift - by faith.  We must understand that salvation is not a reward or a payment, (… it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Eph. 2:8-9). If we think we earned or deserved it, then we have not received it - everlasting life is a gift paid for by another (Christ).  All we have to do is simply ‘believe’ the gift is ours and it becomes ours – forever.  Furthermore, God does not take back His gifts.

Once in our possession, it always remains in our possession - for eternity.  We did nothing to gain the gift - we can do nothing to lose it.  No one can steal it from us and we can’t return it to God.

John 3:16 states, ‘God so loved the world that He gave His uniquely born Son (Jesus Christ) that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

Don’t be one who eternally regrets declining the greatest gift ever given, when by accepting it is as easy as ‘believing’ that it belongs to us.  As it is freely given - it must be freely received. (John 6:40)

STEPS TO PEACEFULLY RECONCILE BACK TO GOD

Step One: God's Purpose For Mankind Is Peace and Eternal Life

God loves you and wants you to experience peace and life - abundant and eternal.

The Bible says...

... We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ... - Roms 5:1
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. - John 3:16
... I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. - John 10:10b

Since God planned for us to have peace and the abundant eternal life right now... Why are most people not having this experience?

STEP TWO :

OUR PROBLEM : SIN CAUSED SEPARATION

God created us in His own image to have an abundant eternal life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him, but gave us a will and freedom of choice.

We chose to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in both physical and eternal death and separation from God.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. - Roms 3:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Roms 6:23

Our choice results in separation from God.

Our Attempts...

Through the ages, individuals have tried in many ways to bridge this gap... through good works, religion, philosophy and morality without success...

The Bible says...

There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. - Prov 14:12
But your iniquities have separated you from God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. - Isa 59:2

There is only one remedy for this problem of separation.

STEP THREE: GOD'S REMEDY IS THE CROSS

Jesus Christ is the only answer to this problem. He died on the cross and rose from the grave, paying the penalty for our sin and bridging the gap from God to man.

The Bible says...

... God is on one side and all the people on the other side, and Christ Jesus, Himself man, is between them to bridge them together... - 1 Tim 2:5
For Christ also has suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust that He might bring us to God... 1 Pet 3:18a
But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. - Rom 5:8

God has provided the ONLY way...

We must make the choice...

STEP FOUR- OUR RESPONSE : RECEIVE CHRIST

We must trust Jesus Christ and receive Him by personal invitation.

The Bible says,

Behold, I stand at the door and and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. - Rev 3:20
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name. - John 1:12
...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. - Rom 10:9

Is there any good reason why you cannot receive Jesus Christ right now?

How To Receive Christ:

1. Admit your need (I am a sonner).

2. Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).

3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.

4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior)

MAKE THE FOLLOWING CONFESSIONAL PRAYER LOUDLY:

DEAR LORD JESUS,

I KNOW THAT I AM A SINNER AND NEED YOUR FORGIVENESS. I BELIEVE THAT YOU DIED FOR MY SINS. I WANT TO TURN FROM MY SINS. I NOW INVITE YOU TO COME INTO MY HEART AND LIFE. I WANT TO TRUST YOU AS SAVIOR AND FOLLOW YOU AS LORD, IN THE FELLOWSHIP OF YOUR CHURCH. AMEN..
