Can You Tell Me The Way To Heaven?

Hello my dearly beloved of Christ,

I will like you to enjoy a short descriptive message below.

Its all about a dying soldier who was on his way to

eternity, with a few minutes left... Read on!

One morning we were holding the line when our company came under heavy fire. Suddenly there was a black cloud as a shell exploded and pieces of shrapnel whizzed past us.

Poor Bert took a hit and fell hard. Jim and another buddy jumped down and picked him up. He was still alive, but it was clear we were going to lose him. Jim and other soldiers found empty sandbags and an old jacket and laid Bert on them in the bottom of the trench.

They had not been back on the firing line long when Jim was startled by a weak voice behind him asking, “Can you tell me the way to heaven?” Jim jumped down again beside Bert and said, “The way to heaven?

Sorry, buddy, I don’t know, but I’ll ask the other guys and find out if anyone knows”. Jim moved along behind the firing line and asked the first soldier if he could tell Bert the way to heaven. He said, “No,” so Jim asked the next soldier, but he didn’t know either. Jim moved to the next squad and asked the ¬ first soldier … same answer. From there each soldier relayed the question to the buddy next to him. The message was passed from man to man, until sixteen had given the same answer — not one of those sixteen men could tell dying Bert the way to heaven.

When you have trained together, been shipped overseas together, faced the dangers and hardships of combat missions together, you become close buddies. And when you see a buddy dying and you can’t help him, that’s hard … really hard. In peacetime we might have given him some sort of answer, but when a buddy is dying on the battle¬field, it’s different. What we think or guess just won’t do. No, when a buddy is dying, he wants only the real answer — the truth was passed down to the seventeenth man: “Bert’s dying and wants to know the way to heaven. Can you help him?”

THE ANSWER

A smile lit up the soldier’s face. “Yes, I know the way to heaven, but I can’t leave my station to go to him.” Quickly he pulled out a little New Testament and flipped through the pages until he found the page with John 3:16. “I’ll turn back the corner of the page, but you put your thumb under that verse that’s underlined. Tell him that is the way to heaven.”

The New Testament and the message were quickly “I’ve got it, Bert. Here’s the way to heaven.” And he read aloud,

passed back down the line until it reached Jim. He dropped down beside Bert and touched his shoulder. As Bert slowly opened his eyes, Jim said,

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Bert’s eyes were alert now and he was clinging to every word. Jim, who was the biggest guy in our company, knelt at the bottom of the trench, holding the little Testament, with tears running down his face as he read over and over again those life-giving words to his dying buddy: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

A look of peace came over Bert’s face as he weakly kept repeating the word “whosoever.” Then, after lying quiet for a minute his face lit up with relief, and with one ¬ final gasp he said “whosoever” and was gone. Gone from the battlefield to be with Christ! It was a wonderful change for Bert; he was in his Saviour’s presence!

As a soldier who has now also found the way to heaven, let me assure you that this is the real thing — the truth. Jesus is the real Saviour.

He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).  

He also said, “I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved” (John 10:9). 

Jesus, whose precious blood cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7), died, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.

Now “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). 

“Christ Jesus came into the world to savest, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31).

He is seated at God’s right hand where He is crowned with glory and honor. He is the only Saviour and the only way to heaven. It is not enough to merely know the way to heaven; you must actually go that way through Christ — the door.

"But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."(Rom 10:8-11)

My beloved brother and sister, it's time you take a bold decision for Christ.

Is there any good reason why you cannot receive Jesus Christ right now?

HOW TO RECEIVE CHRIST:

1. Admit your need (I am a sinner). 
2. Be willing to turn from your sins (repent). 
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave. 
4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior.) 
5. Make the following confession: DEAR LORD JESUS, I KNOW THAT I AM A SINNER AND NEED YOUR FORGIVENESS. I BELIEVE THAT YOU DIED FOR MY SINS, I WANT TO TURN FROM MY SINS. I NOW INVITE YOU TO COME INTO MY HEART AND LIFE. I WANT TO TRUST YOU AS SAVIOR AND FOLLOW YOU AS LORD, IN THE FELLOWSHIP OF YOUR CHURCH. AMEN.  
6. If you prayed this prayer, the Bible says... "For 'whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will  be saved'" Rom 10:13

Did you sincerely ask Jesus Christ to come into your life? Where is He right now? What has He given you?

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast." (KJVA Eph 2:8-9)

 The Knowledge of Eternal Life
"He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." (KJVA 1 John 5:12-13)

Receiving Christ, we are born into God's family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit who indwells every believer... This is called Regeneration or the"New birth".

MISSION TALK: WHAT DEFINES A PEOPLE GROUP?

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." (KJVA Matt 28:19-20)

1. What did Jesus mean by “make disciples of all the Nations”?
The Greek word Jesus used for nation was “ethne” which we get the English word “ethnic” from. Jesus was refering to people groups when He gave this command.

When Jesus said “make disciples of all the nations" what did He mean by “nations”?  He was not referring to political countries like the United States, Nigeria or

Laos. The  political countries of the world looked very
different when Jesus gave this command. Jesus used the Greek word “ethne” from  which we get the English term ethnic group  or people group. For example, in the one  country of Nigeria there are over 540  distinct people groups. Jesus’ command is
to make disciples in all the ethnic people groups in the world.

2. What is a “people group”?

1. A People Group is “a significantly large grouping of individuals who perceive themselves to have a common affinity for one another because of their shared language, religion, ethnicity, residence, occupation, class or caste, situation, etc. or combinations of these.” For evangelistic purposes it is “the largest group within which the Gospel can spread as a church planting movement without encountering barriers of understanding or acceptance.” 

2. An Unreached People Group is “a people group within which there is no indigenous community of believing Christians able to evangelize this people group.”

3. Understanding and Acceptance. 
These are the two main barriers to the spread of the Gospel:

1. Understanding (language) and 
2. Acceptance (ethnicity / religion / culture).

4. The highest barrier?
When defining a people group the key question is “Which barrier(s) is the highest?

5. Four factors when defining people groups:

• Language
• Culture
• Religion
• Geography

These can be in any combination. Typically only one or two of these factors define a people group.

6. Geography by country. Traditionally mission researchers have classified people groups by country. The current Joshua Project estimate is about 17,015 distinct people groups by country.

7. Broad Generalizations.
While there are exceptions, outside South Asia the highest barrier to the spread of the Gospel is usually language. In South Asia the highest barriers tend to be culture / caste and religion.

8. Ethno-what?

1. People groups defined by language are usually called “Ethno-linguistic” Peoples. 
2. People groups defined by culture / caste / religion are often called “Ethno-cultural” Peoples.
3. For Examples:

• Lodha (Hindu) in India. Defined by Caste / Culture and Religion
• Jat (Muslim) in Pakistan Defined by Caste / Culture and Religion 
• Duna in Papua, New Guinea - Defined by Language
• Hui in China - Defined by Religion
• Hausa in Nigeria - Defined by Language and Religion 
• Akan in Ghana - Defined by Language
• Chhetri in Nepal - Defined by Caste / Culture
• Yazidi in Iraq - Defined by Religion and Language
• Dariganga in Mongolia - Defined by Language 
• Chukchi in Russia - Defined by Language
• Burkaric Jew in Israel - Defined by Ethnicity and Language

9. How people groups are not defined.
People groups are not defined by:

1. Occupation: taxi drivers are not a people group.
2. Social status: a ruling class in a country is not a people group.
3. Economic status: the poor in a country are not considered a people group.

THE AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST

• "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. NOW THEN WE ARE AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." (KJVA 2 Cor 5:17-21)

When someone says one thing but always does another, we soon learn to judge them by their actions not their words. As Christians, are our actions contradicting our message?

In a Court of Law, evidence is only admitted if it exists.  It is not admitted because someone says it exists.  A court needs proof.  It needs to see, verify and test all evidence before it can be admitted. 

We, as Christians, tell the unbelieving world that Christianity is a life of joy, strength, courage, forgiveness, love and grace.  But we are often guilty of not exhibiting any evidence.  We should question where is the evidence of Christ in my life?  If I am Christ’s representative, how will Christ be judged on earth through my actions?  What am I really proving to the unbelieving world about God, Christ and Christianity?

"The Salt of the Earth

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men." (KJVA Matt 5:13)

• I declare today, that every satanic leg trampling upon you, bringing shame, frustration, reproach and discouragement into your life, are lifted and destroyed by fire in Jesus name. 

For reasons known only to God, He has chosen Christians to represent Him in an unbelieving world.  Sadly, various religious groups have brought the Truth into disrepute through dishonest practices and criminal activity and many have unfairly judged Christianity solely by their actions.

The way to counter that judgment is through well-lived Christian lives.  When we start exhibiting Christ’s integrity and become relaxed and graceful under pressure, people will witness enticing evidence of a Higher Power working through us.

"The Light of the World 

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (KJVA Matt 5:14-16)

• I declare that whatever satanic covering limit your light or glory from shining is thereby destroyed by the power in the Blood of Jesus and consumed by Holy Ghost fire, in Jesus name. 
• I declared that you will become a shining example of Christ in this world, in Jesus mighty name. 

As Christians, our words and actions are being judged by the unbelieving world as evidence to condemn or consider Christianity.  The greatest witness for Christ is for us to become a living representation of His love, integrity and grace in our graceless world.

"I am the true Vine. My Father is the One Who cares for the Vine. He takes away any branch in Me that does not give fruit. Any branch that gives fruit, He cuts it back so it will give more fruit. (NLV John 15:1-2) 

• May the grace to abide and to be anchored in Him as a branch, in other to bear much fruit rest upon us in Jesus name. 

"This is what I tell you to do: Love each other just as I have loved you. No one can have greater love than to give his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I tell you. … (John 15:12-14) 

You have not chosen Me, I have chosen you. I have set you  for the work of bringing in fruit. Your fruit should last. And whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give it to you. "This is what I tell you to do: Love each other." (NLV John 15:16-17)

MAKE THE FOLLOWING DECLARATION WITH ME....

• Lord Jesus Christ, I thank you for the opportunity and privilege to answer your calling to higher ground, I thank you for your abiding love shown towards me through your blood shed for my sake. Lord Jesus, infuse into my life the spiritual vitamins and minerals that will make me spiritually healthy, that will boost my appetite to eat Your WORD, in other to produce hunger and thirst for prayers in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Dear Holy Spirit, inject into my life spiritual vitamins and minerals that will cause clarity and strength to my spiritual vision and that will also sustain me in evil days in Jesus name. Let these spiritual vitamins kill spiritual germs, virus and bacteria and any evil deposits that's impairing my growth in You. I declare that I am inoculated with spiritual immunity that will energise me to be tireless with you and make me run the race set before me in the mighty name of Jesus.
• Thank you for making me a salt and light in this world and as an ambassador for You in Jesus name.

THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'S - LET GOD DEFEAT YOUR GIANTS

"And he said, Listen, all Judah, and you people of Jerusalem, and king Jehoshaphat! So says the LORD to you, Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude. For the battle [is] not yours, but God's." (MKJV 2Chr 20:15)

What do we do when facing gigantic problems that seem too great to overcome?  We can look to the Bible for answers.  What did David do when facing his giant problem?

If David measured his strength against the Goliath’s he would have quickly fled the battle.  Fortunately, David didn’t measure Goliatha against himself but measured God against his giant opponent.

"So says the LORD, Cursed [is] the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the LORD." (MKJV Jer 17:5)

At times the problems we face can be so gigantic they overwhelm us.  All we can see is our problems with no possible way to overcome them.  In truth, when we objectively measure our personal resources and abilities against our crisis, we may be right – defeat is inevitable.

"The LORD [is] my strength, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock; I will trust in Him; [He is] my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower." (MKJV Ps 18:2)

But what if we change our way of thinking?  What if we measure our gigantic problems against all-powerful God who has infinite resources at His disposal? Immediately, our huge problems become quite insignificant – God is far greater than any crisis we will face.  We need to stop being overwhelmed by the problem and look to the solution – we need to bring God into our fight.

"With him [is] an arm of flesh, but with us [is] the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah." (MKJV 2Chr 32:8)

When we invite God into our predicament by trusting in Him, He will work in our circumstances and help us overcome our giants.  Seldom, will God suddenly remove our problem because when our difficulty is removed so is the opportunity to grow spiritually.

“Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.” 1 Samuel 14:47

God’s desire is for us to overcome our giants not in our own strength but by utilising His strength.  When David said: ‘The battle is the Lord’s,’ he didn’t just sit on the ground and do nothing.  He went into battle with complete confidence that God is in control of all outcomes.

"You shall not fight in this [battle]. Set yourselves and stand, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not fear no dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD [will be] with you." (MKJV 2Chr 20:17)

• I declared into your life today, as you put your faith in Jesus Christ and as you arise up to fight like a warrior
  in prayers, the LORD Almighty shall fight your battles and contend with every power contending against you in Jesus name. 

"Who [are] you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel [you shall become] a plain; and he shall bring forth the top stone with shoutings, Grace! Grace to it!" (MKJV Zech 4:7)

•  I degree that every mountain of depression, frustration and anxiety shall be made plain before you. And you shall rejoice greatly today, in Jesus name. 

"And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief. For truly I say to you, If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Move from here to there. And it shall move. And nothing shall be impossible to you." (MKJV Mat 17:20)

"For truly I say to you that whoever shall say to this mountain, Be moved and be cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he said shall occur, he shall have whatever he said." (MKJV Mar 11:23)

As we battle our problems trusting in God, the more we focus on Him the less our problems will dominate us. We will be surprised by God’s unconventional ways of supporting us through our crisis.   When we finally overcome our giants, we will be spiritually stronger for the experience and God will be eternally glorified.

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." (MKJV Prov 3:5-6)

• I declared today, as you put all your trust upon Him, He will fight that battle that have fought your father and mother to stand still and have also descended on you. He will defeat that oppression spirits in your family, contending against your destiny, marriage, children and business, in Jesus mighty name.

TIME IS RUNNING OUT ON YOU! SITTING ON TIME BOMB!

Heb 9:27: "And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment," 

 1) TIME IS RUNNING OUT! You Need To Be Born Twice To Die Once! Or Born Once and Die Twice. 

John 3:3-7: "Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second [time] into his mother's womb and be born? Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again."

2) TIME IS RUNNING OUT! For A Believer, The Grace Is Given To You To Be BORN TWICE; Your Natural Birth and Spiritual Birth And You Face Death Once. He Had Escaped The Second Death. 

Rev 2:11: "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death."

Rev 20:6: "Blessed and holy [is] he who has part in the first resurrection. The second death has no authority over these, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him a thousand years."

1Ths 4:13-17: "But I would not have you ignorant, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, that you be not grieved, even as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him all those who have fallen asleep through Jesus. For we say this to you by the Word of [the] Lord, that we who are alive [and] remain until the coming of the Lord shall not go before those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the] clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall ever be with the Lord."

WHEN YOU GIVE YOUR LIFE TO CHRIST AND YOU MAKE HIM YOUR SAVOUR AND REDEEMER, YOU RECEIVE SPIRITUAL BIRTH, YOUR NAME IS WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE, YOU HAVE ESCAPED THE SECOND DEATH. THE POWER OF RESURRECTION AND LIFE IS ACTIVATED IN YOU!

3) TIME IS RUNNING OUT! But for the Unbeliever who have not given his or her life to Christ before death came for them, he only had natural birth, he will die condemned already because he had rejected salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will two judgements, two deaths for eternity.

Rev 21:8: "But the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, will have their part in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

Rev 20:11-15: "And I saw a great white throne, and Him sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And a place was not found for them. And I saw the dead, the small and the great, stand before God. And books were opened, and another book was opened, [which is] the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead in it. And death and hell delivered up the dead in them. And each one of them was judged according to their works. And DEATH and HELL WERE CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE. This is the SECOND DEATH . And IF ANYONE WAS NOT FOUND HAVING BEEN WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE , he was CAST into THE LAKE OF FIRE."

4) TIME IS RUNNING OUT! 
You Are Sitting On A Time Bomb That Can Explode Any Moment From Now. Every Second, Every Minute, Every Hour, Day , Week, Month And Year, You Wake Up, Your Time On Earth Is Getting Reduced. Your Time, My Time Had Been Determined By Our Maker! 

Maybe 30, 40,50 or 100 years is determined for you when you were born on this earth!

 DO YOU KNOW IF TODAY IS DETERMINED TO BE YOUR LAST ON EARTH? 

The Bible says in John 3:16-21: 

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE . For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes on Him is not condemned, but HE WHO DOES NOT BELIEVE IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE HE HAS NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD. And this is the condemnation, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who practices truth comes to the Light so that his works may be revealed, that they exist, having been worked in God."

FINALLY THIS DAY, 

Rom 10:8-10: "But what does it say? THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, [EVEN] IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART; that is, the WORD OF FAITH which we proclaim; Because IF YOU CONFESS THE LORD JESUS, and BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART that GOD HAS RAISED HIM FROM [the] Dead, YOU SHALL BE SAVED. For with [the] heart [one] believes unto righteousness, and with [the] mouth [one] confesses unto salvation.

"TIME IS RUNNING OUT! SAVE YOURSELF FROM THE SECOND DEATH!
